Instructional Design

Canvas Learning Module

I designed this short, two-module lesson as part of an Online Pedagogy course that I took in fulfillment of my M.Ed. This course is designed to introduce faculty to the concept of cognitive load, and to offer practical tips on how to consider cognitive load in their course design. The course was designed in Canvas and the graphic elements were designed using Canva. Click on the image below to self-enroll and view the course in Canvas.

Canvas Course Home Pages

I designed the following images to be used as course home pages in Canvas for a self-paced faculty training course. The first home page was designed using Canva and Adobe Photoshop. The second home page was designed using Adobe Illustrator and Canva.

This image was split into 5 separate images so that the “Get Started,” “Modules,” and “Assistance” sections of the image would all link to the appropriate place in Canvas.

Faculty Guide

I created the following 2-page faculty guide as part of my participation in the Online Learning Consortium’s Instructional Designer Certificate program. The guide was created using Adobe InDesign and Canva.
